Web technologies for the good guys.

Nonprofit Website Design

Research into internet behavior shows that the average user spends 10 seconds or less on a new website before deciding to stay or clicking away to a different site. This means that your website has less than 10 seconds to communicate a compelling online presence, or your organization never gets the chance to tell its story.

Design is much, much more complex than simple aesthetics. Although a lot of our clients start out prioritizing functionality over design, many find that the overall success of their website project revolves around good design - making their websites usable and accessible, as well as attractive.

Well designed websites are successful at telling your story because they work (and work well) in all major browsers, use valid code that conforms to internationally established standards, are easy for your constituents (and your donors, your board, the media, and your staff) to use, are usable on a special needs user's screenreader and also on a reporter's cell phone, organize information effectively, and (of course), are visually attractive.

We'd prefer to do this right for you the first time, instead of waiting for you to come back for a design overhaul when the project is suffering. Get in touch with us if you'd like to chat with one of our designers. You might be surprised at some of the budget compromises we can make with modern tools and development methods; you're not always going to need a gigantic budget to make design work for you.
